At Merz our people and strategy help us deliver the industry's most successful top-down, bottom-up investment processes. We're currently seeking an experienced Manager to lead our SAP operations team and take ownership of our technology roadmap.
In this role, you will be responsible for our global SAP landscape, defining the overall SAP operations with our external and internal support team, define and manage integrations with different platforms like SAP Netweaver PI, BTP, CPI, Mulesoft. With your team, you define the SAP Basis setup, the SAP application landscape and architecture. Investigation of new technologies like automation, chat bots, and further improvement of our support processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of the SAP Operations team, including integrations and development team.
• You coordinate the implementation of requirements and support the consulting of the business units in technology questions
• Identify optimization opportunities in our SAP landscape and define the roadmap for our SAP Landscape based on cloud technologies
• Provide to our project delivery teams the technical expertise and do the implementation and development of new integrations
• You will continuously develop the integration architecture and strategy with your team, taking into account future technology trends (use of the SAP Cloud Connector, API management, EDI, etc.)
• You supervise the ongoing operation support for 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support for incidents and changes in SAP and ensure a stable and performant operation
• Organize the service management and ensure reporting to our business partners
• Monitoring and Optimization of our landscape
• Collaboration and management of our external partners to ensure 24/7 operations
• Further development and optimization our overall IT landscape including optimization our support processes based on ITIL

Education

• Degree in Computer Science / Information systems or related discipline.

Experience and Qualifications

• 8 plus years' experience in a position of equal scope and responsibility
• You have several years of practical experience in SAP Technology and SAP Landscape management
• SAP basis and development experience is an advantage and helps to instruct the team
• Team lead experience in the IT Operations or in an AMS organization
• You have good knowledge in the connection of Netweaver PO/CPI to SAP ABAP systems
• You have an understanding of Interface technologies and also utilization of cloud applications
• Basic experience from SAP S/4 in the cloud is required.
• Very good knowledge in English and ideally in German
• Expertise in pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred, knowledge of validation
