Greenawalt Hospitality is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Auburn, AL

As the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the organization. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's overall objectives, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's overall business goals.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the organization attracts, hires, onboards, and retains top talent.
    • Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
    • Ensure the development and implementation of effective recruitment and hiring processes.
    • Utilize innovative and strategic approaches to attract top talent, including leveraging technology and social media.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
    • Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Conduct Disciplinary action as needed.
  • Performance Management:
    • Develop and implement performance management systems to drive employee engagement and development.
    • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
  • Training and Development:
    • Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive employee development programs.
    • Collaborate with Development Officer and various departments to identify training needs, facilitate learning opportunities and promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
    • Oversee the execution of employee development programs.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure the impact of employee development programs
  • Staffing:
    • Develop and implement staffing strategies aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with Director of Staffing to provide guidance, mentoring and support.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of staffing processes.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Oversee the design and administration of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs.
    • Oversee the payroll processes to ensure accuracy
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and market trends.
  • HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
    • Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation and update policies accordingly.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture:
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive organizational culture.
    • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish and monitor key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Legal Compliance:
    • Stay current on labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance.
    • Advise senior leadership on legal matters related to employment and HR.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. HR certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, Preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
