About Green Acres
Green Acres Food Truck Park is a fun outdoor venue right on the Greenbelt in Downtown Boise. We host rotating food trucks, live music every night, yard games and fun community events where people can eat, drink and enjoy being outside. Green Acres is kid-friendly, dog-friendly and a casual place to hang out for all ages. Green Acres was started in 2021 by wife and husband team, Anny & Sean Frampton. They have recently added their 1st child to their family and are excited to make the 4th season of Green Acres the best one yet.

About the job:
Green Acres is a unique business with many moving parts including aspects of operating an event venue, bar, ice cream & soda shop, food court and music venue all wrapped into one business.
We are looking for high energy, fun, adaptable and responsible people to join our team to be a bartender in the Green Acres Bar.
The Green Acres Bar serves alcoholic beverages by the can or by draft as well as wine by the glass. Knowledge of cocktail mixology is not necessary for this position as only canned cocktails are served. A craft beer background, wine background or bartending experience is a huge plus (but not necessary).

This position includes operating a standard cashier point of sale system, contributing to park maintenance (setting up yard games, rearranging furniture), contributing to cleaning duties (taking out trash, wiping down tables), and re-stocking inventory.

This business can experience high traffic and can be a very fast-paced environment. We're looking for the right people who can handle high peak activity, be quick to get customers their order while maintaining high quality in what they serve and still having fun while they do it.

You will be trained to learn our entire menu offering.

Green Acres is primarily an outdoor setting so candidates must enjoy being able to work outside alongside the Greenbelt scenery as well as share an appreciation for our local food truck and live music scene.
Candidates must be comfortable with…

• A physically demanding job as you will be on your feet for extended periods for at least 5 hours at a time. There is some heavy lifting as the job entails occasionally changing kegs, hauling cornhole boards/yard games, rearranging furniture sometimes, etc.
• Working in a completely outdoor venue - there are times when it is_ very hot_ in the summertime
• Working in a small space; this business is a renovated shipping container.

Customer service is a top priority for this role. Being a family owned small business - each person hired is an important contribution to our growing business and plays an important role in creating the unique experience of hanging out at our special park by the Greenbelt.

We are looking for full time and part time positions and are hiring multiple people for this role.
In addition to hiring this bartender role, we are specifically looking for one bartender who will be our Closing Bartender and can commit to closing 5 days every week (Wednesday-Sunday). Our park closes at 8pm from April - May and Sept -October. We close later at 9pm from June-August. It typically takes 1 hour to close down so the closing team can expect to end their shift around 10-10:15pm at the latest.
The Closing Bartender will have the following additional responsibilities:

• Ensuring the closing checklist has been executed accurately and efficiently
• Responsible for everything being locked and secured for the evening
• Responsible for cash management and making cash drops every evening.

Green Acres is a seasonal business so this role would be active until Sunday, October 13th.

The average total compensation is over $20 per hour.
The Closing Bartender will make additional monthly bonuses throughout the season for committing to close everyday.

*Note: We are also hiring Ice Cream Scoopers & Soda Makers at our sister business, Fizzy Cow Ice Cream & Soda Shop. If you would like to learn both roles and work on either side as needed, there would be a increase in your hourly wage. Please let us know if you are interested in this.
