The Green Acres Food Truck Park is a fun outdoor venue right on the Greenbelt in Downtown Boise. We host rotating food trucks, live music every night, yard games and fun community events where people can eat, drink and enjoy being outside.

We're looking for high energy, fun, adaptable and responsible people to join our team to be an Ice Cream Scooper/Drink Maker in the Fizzy Cow Ice Cream & Soda Shop

The Fizzy Cow is a small Ice Cream & Soda Shop that offers ice cream by the scoop, sundaes, specialty sodas, Italian sodas and other beverages. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, scooping ice cream, creating signature drinks, managing a point of sale system and general cleaning duties.

Experience in working in a dessert related business and making specialty drinks (barista, etc) is a huge plus but not required.

This position includes operating a standard cashier point of sale system, contributing to park maintenance (setting up yard games, rearranging furniture), contributing to cleaning duties (taking out trash, wiping down tables), and re-stocking inventory.

This business can experience high traffic and can be a very fast-paced environment. We're looking for the right people who can handle high peak activity, be quick and fast to get customers their order still maintaining high quality in what they serve and still having fun while they do it.

You will be trained to learn our entire menu offering.

Green Acres is a primarily outdoor setting so candidates must enjoy being able to work in an outdoor setting alongside the Greenbelt scenery as well as share an appreciation for our local food truck and live music scene. We are looking for full time and part time positions.

Candidates must be comfortable with…

• A physically demanding job as you will be on your feet for 5 hours at a time. There is some heavy lifting as the job entails occasionally changing Soda bibs, hauling cornhole boards/yard games, rearranging furniture sometimes, handling large 3-gallon tubs, etc.
• Working in a completely outdoor venue - there are times where it is very hot in the summertime
• Working in a small space as this business is in a renovated shipping container.

Customer service is a top priority for this role. Being a family owned small business - each person hired is an important contribution to our growing business and plays an important role in creating the special experience of hanging out at our special park by the Greenbelt.

Green Acres is a seasonal business so this role would be active until Sunday, October 13th.

We are looking for full time and part time positions and are hiring multiple people for this role.
In addition to hiring this Ice cream scooper/drink maker role, we are specifically looking for one person who will be a consistent closer and can commit to closing 5 days every week (Wednesday-Sunday). Our park closes at 8pm from April - May and Sept -October. We close later at 9pm from June-August. It typically takes 1 hour to close down so the closing team can expect to end their shift around 10-10:15pm at the latest.
The closer will have the following additional responsibilities:

• Ensuring the closing checklist has been executed accurately
• Responsible for everything being locked and secured for the evening
• Potentially helping with cash management and cash drops

Average total compensation is $20 per hour.
The closer role will receive additional monthly bonuses for committing to close everyday.

*Note: We are also hiring bartenders at our sister business, The Green Acres Bar . If you would like to also learn how to be a bartender and work on either side as needed, there would be a increase in your hourly wage. Please let us know if you are interested.
