Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of all DOT Health and Safety compliance for Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure work procedures and policies are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with safety manager and transportation operations to provide input in company driver safety related evaluations and training.
- Samsara vehicle camera systems and FMCSA ELD compliance.
- Safety and Regulatory Training oversite for employees.
- Assist facility management of safety and regulatory compliance and accountability.
- Maintain and update safety and AST tank compliance program.
- Facilitate and perform facility & company equipment safety inspections.
- Conduct safety meetings based on need and current issues by location.
Requirements
- Assist with development, implementation, training and management of the company's DOT, OSHA, and other Health and Safety compliance programs.
- Investigate, report, and monitor incidents.
- Travel required approximately 30%.
- Previous safety experience in the field of FMCSA, OSHA, Hazardous Material
- CSS, CDS, CSP or other safety related certificates.
