Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop has an immediate position available for a floating Store Manager in our greater Pittsburgh area stores. The position will be for 35-40 hours a week, and must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays. Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop is a family-owned chain of candy stores, and we would love to have you join our family!

Outgoing personality - We need the type of person who loves to holler a genuine and friendly 'HELLO!' at our customers when they walk through the door. You must enjoy interacting with kids (actual kids and the adult kind), helping customers stroll down memory lane, and offering guidance and suggestions to clients shopping for special events. We are looking for an outgoing person who can make every visit special for our guest

Strong Leadership - Our Manager's are not only managing the team but are hands on in the day to day operations and customer service in our stores. There will be times that the manager is working directly with the team and other times that they are the only person in the store engaging with our guest and maintaining store standards. Must have experience managing teams as well as working as part of a team.

Neat-freak - Keeping the candy displays fresh and good-looking is a HUGE part of who we are, and we need the sorts of folks that are enthusiastic about and take pride in, maintaining a welcoming, and clean workspace. We encourage our employees to show off their creativity!

Great energy - We love bona fide smiles, and not the forced kind. We've got a bright, energetic crew that's like a big happy family, and it's vitally important that our customers feel the love when they're in our store. We are looking for that self-motivated person, who can balance taking direction and helping to push the store to excel towards the next level.

Responsibilities - The role of Customer Experience Manager is to drive next level experience in our store. We have the merchandise, we have the team, and we have the customers. Now we are looking for the leader who can help drive the fun and exciting experience that makes Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop the must visit store in Pittsburgh. Customer Experience Manager will work directly with Store Manager and all team members to ensure that from the minute the store opens to the minute after we close every customer is getting the full experience. Every customer gets a greeting as well as an opportunity to have personal one on one time with a team member as guide to the world of Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop. They must be loud and be able to direct traffic in a friendly and outgoing manner even when store that will be wall to wall customers. Customer Experience Manager ensures that all registers are open when needed and providing an efficient and friendly check out complete with sincere "thank you" to each and every customer. Training and development of the team to have a customer service first mentality is key. This job will be mainly focused on Friday through Sunday as those are our busiest days with days off throughout the week.
