Grand Bank For Savings, FSB is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Hattiesburg, MS

Human Resources Director

The mission of the Human Resources Department is to provide quality services and support to Grand Bank for Savings, FSB (“Grand Bank”) by promoting the concept that our employees are our most valuable resource and will be treated as such.

Primary Responsibilities: The Human Resource Director will provide service and support to business line partners across Grand Bank. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Hiring & Recruitment- Strategic recruitment and retention of qualified individuals, all while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the workplace. This includes creating compelling job descriptions, streamlining event planning/scheduling (such as job fairs and internships), and designing an effective onboarding process with input from all business lines.
  • Implementation and Management of Learning and Training Programs – Training, development and education to promote individual success of employees, which will in turn add capacity to Grand Bank.
  • Overall HR Operations- Managing compensation and benefits, facilitating performance reviews, and setting an ideal work culture that encourages employee involvement while providing resources for business line partners and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred, but work experience and history considered)

Experience: Five (5) years of practical HR experience in an entry level HR role or HR environment

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality;
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); and
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
