Job Title: Temporary Supply Chain Expeditor
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Temporary Supply Chain Expeditor in Boulder, Colorado. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in production management and machine shop experience, coupled with a deep understanding of supply chain operations. This temporary position requires close collaboration with our supply chain team to expedite production and ensure the timely delivery of materials crucial to supporting our production schedules.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to expedite the procurement and delivery of materials necessary for production.
  • Monitor production schedules and coordinate with production managers to ensure timely availability of materials, meeting production deadlines.
  • Track and update purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory levels, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information for supply chain planning.
  • Communicate and follow up with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to materials availability, quality, or delivery timelines.
  • Utilize machine shop experience to comprehend production processes, identifying potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement in the supply chain.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, providing input on supply chain strategies, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Proactively identify and address potential delays or issues in the supply chain that may impact production schedules.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to supply chain and production management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations in the supply chain and machine shop environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or related roles, focusing on production management and machine shop experience.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Knowledge of machine shop operations, encompassing machining processes, materials, and quality requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This is a temporary position with an estimated duration of three months, with the opportunity for extension.
