Type: Independent Contractor
Length of Contract: 12 Months
Location: Onsite
Job Overview:
- Provide on-site support to monitor Work in Progress (WIP) progress toward meeting shipment milestones.
- Generate weekly reports on the status of deliveries for the next 26 weeks, focusing on critical items.
- Serve as the focal point for engineering activities and coordination with suppliers.
- Manage the activities of assigned members of Engineering and the Supplier Transformation Team to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Review full Bill of Materials (BOM) Rate Readiness and identify supplier and process constraints.
- Work on Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) plans to address subcomponents back to rate.
- Issue Tracking and Resolution:
- Ensure that issues identified by the team are tracked and resolved.
- Identify and communicate resource shortages and limitations, escalating issues that require leadership involvement for resolution.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to provide coaching and guidance on Production Planning and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP).
- Integrate technical, commercial, and logistics risks and mitigation plan into production schedules.
- Coordinate expedited activities through Outside Special Process suppliers and Logistics.
- Strive to meet 95% Purchase Order (PO) supplier delivery dates.
- Provide Lean and Production guidance to suppliers on critical parts.
- Identify Root Causes and implement Corrective Actions to increase First Pass Yield (FPY) and overall output, aiming for a 10% quarterly increase.
- Participate in all status meetings with suppliers, ensuring follow-up on action items for on-time delivery.
- Present status updates on LEAN, SIOP, and Planning projects at weekly leadership reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or at least 5 years’ experience in related field.
- Proven experience in supplier performance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management skills and experience with RCCA processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions.
