Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Hospitality Learning and Development Director to join their esteemed restaurant team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and training on comprehensive learning and development programs for the organization. This is a key leadership role that will contribute to the growth and success of their employees.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement learning strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and objectives, utilizing the ADDIE model
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify training needs and create customized learning solutions
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to adult learners
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Manage the learning management system (LMS) to ensure seamless delivery of training materials
- Oversee the development of e-learning modules, videos, and other digital learning resources
- Provide guidance and support to subject matter experts in the creation of training content
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and development
- Partner with HR to support employee onboarding, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization
- Ability to travel nationally up to 25% for new restaurant openings
Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design or a closely related discipline and at least four years of professional experience, with an esteemed restaurant group
- Strong knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and adult learning principles
- Experience in content development, program design, and delivery of training materials
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) to manage training programs
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage learners at all levels
- Knowledge of employee relations, human resources practices, and talent management strategies
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Captivate for e-learning development
- Strong analytical skills for data collection, analysis, and reporting on training effectiveness
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Leadership skills
