Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing and organizing documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations of the front desk
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role, preferably in a medical or dental setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using phone systems and office equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Understanding of patient service principles and commitment to providing exceptional care
