Overview

Summary:

The Deputy Project Manager will oversee and support the Program Managers for multiple projects ensuring day-to-day operations including strong customer relations, deliverables, budget, invoicing, and staffing are met. The Deputy Project/Contracts Manager will also work with executive management to develop budgets, create financial forecasts, create input into marketing material, business development, proposal support, and other related support. We are looking for an experienced candidate with management experience within the DoD and other Federal agencies specifically in the areas of healthcare (clinical) and medical solutions, behavioral health, program management, and related administrative support. The candidate must have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Support Program Managers by overseeing project operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, services, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Support the invoice life cycle.
  • Prepare cost or price analysis.
  • Conduct weekly status calls with Company's Program Manager.
  • Assist with invoicing activities as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Provide a monthly Invoicing Deficiency Report to Company Program Manager with weekly touchpoints as required.
  • Create an Expense Reporting Instructional Tool tailored to the MFLC Program and associated staff.
  • Assist with recruiting activities as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Review and resolve contractor issues affecting contractor performance and ensure contractor compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and customer objectives.
  • Daily interactions with the program team, finance, legal, HR, recruiting, and other functional teams regarding contract negotiation, preparation, and monitoring.
  • May manage and direct staff including hiring and issue resolution.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, technical writing skills a must for documentation development.
  • Ability to work as a self-starter, take initiative, and execute tasks with minimal supervision Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proficient with excel spreadsheets, word documents
  • Advanced accounting and bookkeeping skills and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to interact with customers (recruiting candidates) in a motivated and professional manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work independently, understand larger task at hand and proactively work towards completing the task.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience with compiling and analyzing key performance metrics in support of program management Reviews at the end of the performance period.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
