FDH Aero is seeking an experienced Sr. Total Rewards Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing all aspects of leave administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while providing exceptional support to employees throughout the benefits lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject-matter expertise for the administration of the core Benefit plans; respond to benefit inquiries and provide support to HR Ops team regarding plan provisions, enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries.
  • Own the benefits employee experience by managing the benefits inbox and serving as a point of contact for employees through onboarding, offboarding, and other major employee milestones
  • Participatess in reviewing & updating of applicable benefit plan documents and summary plan descriptions as necessary.
  • Vendor management of third-part service providers, including review and evaluation of service levels and service level agreements as well as vendor searches.
  • Performs quality checks and audits of benefits-related data.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, providing guidance, support, and timely communication throughout the process
  • Manage the end-to-end process of all types of leaves of absence, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, personal leaves, and military leaves.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including HR, payroll, benefits, and legal teams, to ensure seamless administration of leave programs
  • Review and analyze leave requests, ensuring accurary & compliance with company policies while maintaining accurate leave records and documentation, including tracking leave balances, eligibility, and return-to-work dates.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into leave requests, including medical certifications and documentation, to determine eligibility and appropriate accommodations
  • Stay current with changes in leave laws and regulations, advising management on compliance requirements and best practices
  • Participate in the development and implementation of leave-related policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve efficiency and employee experience
  • Collaborate with external vendors, such as third-party administrators and healthcare providers, to facilitate the leave management process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related field preferred
  • 5 years of experience in leave administration, with a strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, and other relevant federal, state, and local leave laws
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a large organization
  • Certification in benefits or leave management (e.g., Certified Leave Management Specialist) a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and leave management software preferred
