Global Response Team is Hiring a Commercial Estimator Near Kansas, KS

Global Response Team is looking to hire someone for a commercial estimating position in the Kansas City metro. The applicant will need to be self-sufficient on all aspects of commercial estimating including but not limited to locating bid opportunities, creating pricing models, bid submission, and bid awarding procedures. The applicant will be based out of Kansas City, but minor local travel may be required. 
It is crucial that the applicant be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicant must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all facets of commercial project management and estimating. Applicant must also maintain a positive attitude while expected to be a leader for other team members within the organization. This is not an entry-level position.
Applicant needs to be proficient in all aspects of commercial estimating including but not limited to:
  • Estimating commercial construction projects ranging from $10K to $5M.
  • Job costing, analysis, and tracking.
  • Bidding, selection, and hiring of subcontractors.
  • Building and fostering relationships with companies that provide bid opportunities and potential vendors.
  • Plan reviews and blueprint reading.
  • Familiar and competent in AIA documents and contracts.
  • General understanding of a wide variety of commercial construction trades.
  • Project scheduling, development of critical paths, and maintaining strict benchmarks.
  • Overall coordination with internal and external project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Any and all other tasks related to commercial estimating.
Applicant must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.
