GIVENCHY is Hiring an Area Manager- NYC Near New York, NY

Position

Givenchy is looking for an Area Manager to lead its New York City Market!

In this role you will have oversight of key locations that include high volume and newly developed businesses. You will align all Managers in your defined area to the highest performance standards and build consistency between locations as a critical Market. In addition to locations in the area, you will act as the lead manager in your primary boutique. You will drive business performance across key areas of responsibility: strategic and financial planning, talent sourcing and development, category/ KPI target achievement, and operational excellence. You will act as an ambassador for the brand within the local community and drive new opportunities for growth and influence.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

Business Vision

  • Define and communicate vision for the Boutiques in line with strategic planning.
  • Align all activities to support vision and focus as approved by the Sr. Retail Director and Brand President.
  • Manage areas of responsibility and oversight with planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Leverage understanding of the local market, industry trends and best methodologies in the luxury industry.
  • Drive cooperation and collaboration between Leaders and create consistency between locations with communication and clear expectations.

Client Experience

  • Leverage Client experiences and activate Client Tier growth with support from functional Partners. Monitor and define CRM results and opportunities.
  • Mentor the Boutique Leaders and Team with expertise, service focus, and elevation of actions.
  • Analyze and action results from Ambassador program evaluations to improve service experiences.
  • Assist the Brand as an Ambassador at key events and in networking opportunities, strive to increase key affiliations to support the business.
  • Facilitate solutions to Client concerns; directly manage advanced issues or escalations.

Talent Management

  • Source and review key Talent and consistently build a best-in-class workforce, in cooperation with Human Resources. Maintain payroll efficiency and budgets.
  • Ensure staff turnover meets expectation and retain top performers with dedication and expertise.
  • Ensure all new hires are properly onboarded and given all fundamental training; complete 90 Day Evaluations.
  • Complete Annual and Mid-Year Performance & Career Review process and development planning.
  • Partner with Corporate Retail & Training teams to identify relevant content to build service, selling and product knowledge skills.

Financial Targets

  • Meet all financial targets as defined by Brand President and Retail field.
  • Supervise individual objectives; coach and motivate Advisors to exceed expectations.
  • Understand P&L and location contribution, effectively manage costs and expenditures to prioritize business necessities.

Merchandising

  • Collaborate with Corporate Management and Merchandising teams to drive key categories and maximize sell-through.
  • Align merchandise mix to meet Client needs; particular emphasis on VICs.
  • Maintain all merchandising standards as set by the brand guidelines and ensure a luxury environment for all guests.

Profile

Store Operations

  • Supervise all critical metrics, analyze results, and make changes to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and evolve standardized staffing model to better align employee scheduling to store traffic.
  • Ensure all inventory control, fraud prevention and audit practices are implemented and maintained in accordance with Givenchy/LVMH standards.
  • Ensure weekly payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Administration

  • Ensure all databases, contracts and files are well organized and securely maintained as per established guidelines.
  • Complete all requests for information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay in sync with all Givenchy and LVMH policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10 years retail experience, including 4 years managerial experience in a retail (preferably luxury) setting. Multi store experience or influence recommended.
  • Demonstrated track record driving a flagship Boutique.
  • Experience in Top Markets strongly preferred.
  • Proven service orientation and Client focus mindset.
  • Able to develop, mentor and coach a Team of top-tier Sales Professionals
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Understanding of POS systems/operations (Cegid).
  • Ability to work Retail schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
