Overview

The HR Data Analyst is part of the Human Resources People Analtyics center of excellence, which is responsible for full spectrum of human resources analytics from data gathering, reporting and analysis, to strategic and predictive analytics.

***This role can be located near any U.S. based Gilbane office and offers a wide variety of remote and/or hybrid opportunities.***

Responsibilities

• Use deep understanding of HR systems and processes to produce high value analysis, dashboards, and reports for various HR and business stakeholders.
• Build interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Microstrategy, or similar tools like Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics etc.
• Work with Business Intelligence partners to structure and stage data for dashboards and reports including creation of new data pipelines.
• Project manage or administer Data / Data Visualization Systems.
• Partner with Data Scientists to support ongoing research and analytics initiatives.
• Regularly interact with non technical stake holders to deliver analyses and answer questions on deliverables.
• Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Learns new analytic methods and techniques as needed for projects.
• Experience with analytics, data pipeline, process automation, or model deployment a plus.
• Experience with SQL, R, and Python a plus.
• Experience with Microstrategy and Microstrategy Dossiers highly desired.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Human Resources, Computer Science/Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Psychology, Sociology, Marketing or like field
• 2 years practical experenience with data processing, programming and/or analytics
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Experience with an Enterprise Data Visualization software like Microstrategy, Tableau, SAS Visual Analytics Etc.
• Business acumen and business problem solving skills
• Background in HR, reporting, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics
• Strategic thinking skills – seeing the big picture, clarifying strategic objectives, identifying relations, patterns and trends, thinking creatively, analyzing information, and prioritizing actions
• Ability to understand various data structures and produce data visualizations.
