POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for preservation of condition and functionality of the building with a focus on maintaining & repairing finishes, mechanical troubleshooting, kitchen equipment repair, electrical, and plumbing.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Technical School Training with a certificate in Building Maintenance Technology or relevant field preferred.
Skills:
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to make timely and sound decisions. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at several organizational levels. Conscientious with great attention to detail. Must be able to use a smartphone and technology associated with company software.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and increments of time. Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
Other Qualifications
Proven experience as maintenance technician including a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other building systems. Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods including a working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices. Demonstrated experience with manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail is requisite. Experience repairing cooking equipment is a plus. Prior use of work order tracking software is also a plus.
