Ghost Robotics is Hiring a VP, Finance Near Philadelphia, PA

Description

Ghost Robotics is the industry leader in legged robotic systems that not only help our customers solve complex operational, national security, and technical challenges to save lives, reduce harm and improve outcomes. 

This position reports to the CEO and will be working closely with a fast-moving team delivering next-generation legged robotic solutions for defense, homeland, public safety and enterprise customers worldwide. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, knowledgeable, has a solid work ethic, can learn quickly and execute under demanding timelines. There is a strong growth opportunity as the company expands. 

Key Duties

The Vice President of Finance will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's financial services and departments, supporting and promoting profitable goals and objectives.

  • In collaboration with other executive staff, and departmental employees, develops, implements, operates, maintains, and controls the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.
  • Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the division and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Develops and maintains financial models, tracking revenue, margin, and cashflow.
  • Oversees AR and AP for business, optimizing collection and payment terms. 
  • Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Supervisory Duties

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level staff in the department. 
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. 
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

Requirements

Minimum Work Experience 

8-10 years minimum experience at an established integration firm, consultancy or product company. 

  • Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders under stressful environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant status highly desired.
  • At least ten years of experience in the financial function of a company is required.

Location 

Philadelphia, PA (no remote candidates considered at this time). 

Travel 

25% Domestic and International Travel required.
