North America Finance is looking for a Vice President of Management Reporting. This is a key leadership role responsible for the oversight and execution of North America Management Reporting functions while also providing support for a variety of other FP&A and General Ledger close related deliverables. Critical qualities to succeed include but are not limited to-- the ability to take ownership and accountability, manage a dynamic team and multiple complex processes within prescribed timeframes, identify root causes and recommend remediation for issues, develop/maintain/enhance relationships with various stakeholders, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, and the willingness/desire to continuously build on insurance/product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and maintain discipline around Monthly/Quarterly financial close activities by owning key processes and associated deliverables.
Analyze P&L results for consolidated North America and its component segments to ensure completeness and accuracy, particularly as relates to Plan/Forecast/Prior Year variances.
Support efforts to maintain Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Key Control activities and account reconciliation discipline for completeness and accuracy.
Support senior management needs in various aspects of FP&A, including but not limited to internal/external reporting, M2/M3 Forecasting, Annual Planning, Strategic Planning, and select results/strategy/tactical meetings.
Focus on continuous improvement and reengineering opportunities within the financial close process, and in support of the larger organization leveraging advancements in available technology to create efficiencies where possible.
Continue alignment and harmonization of various processes and deliverables across all North America segments where practicable.
Develop strong and productive partnerships with each Business/Division and functional Support Unit to increase organizational and industry knowledge and awareness in support of completeness and accuracy in financial reporting and best practices around control activities and processes.
Lead and/or participate in projects designed to enhance existing processes or react to emerging changes in control activity requirements.
Talent management and development of staff.

Proficient with MS Office, reporting tools (TM1, Cognos, et al), and general ledger applications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a large public company in an accounting, financial analysis, or auditing role
CPA, CPCU, or MBA preferred
Insurance accounting/financial knowledge preferred
