We are searching for a VP of Engineering and Technology that will be an innovative, strategic, and dynamic leader, passionate about technology and its ability to solve real-world challenges. As the technological helm of the company, you'll be responsible for ensuring our tech initiatives align with and further our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Building:

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Product Development:

• Drive end-to-end product development, ensuring timely and high-quality software delivery.

Strategic Roadmap:

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for scaling engineering capabilities in alignment with company objectives and growth plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritizing engineering initiatives alongside product management and research.

Technical Guidance and Mentorship:

• Provide best-in-class technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, promoting continuous learning and professional development.

Industry Trends and Best Practices:

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering best practices.

Team Management and Infrastructure:

• Manage a combination Senior/Lead Engineer role, overseeing infrastructure, integrations, and critical hires.
• Project Oversight and Innovation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s or other advanced degree is a plus.
• 5 years of experience in a senior technical leadership role, preferably at a high-growth tech company or startup.
• Demonstrable experience in building and leading high-performing tech teams.
• Strong understanding of mobile app development, cloud-based solutions, AI, and machine learning, infrastructure architecture, strategic partnerships, budgeting, and much more.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A forward-thinker with a knack for innovation and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the last-mile delivery and marketplace space (i.e Doordash, Uber Eats, etc.) sector.
• An established network in the tech community.
• Experience in navigating and scaling tech teams in a fast-paced environment.
