Requirements
Associate Director Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality - Georgetown University Law Center
The Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality (GCPI) works with policy leaders, researchers, practitioners, advocates, and other experts to develop policies and practices to alleviate poverty and inequality and advance racial and gender equity in the United States. We are looking to fulfill the position of Associate Director of Administration and Finance to oversee the administrative, financial, and personnel-related needs of the Initiative.
The Associate Director is responsible for a range of tasks and areas that are aimed at facilitating the daily operations of the Initiative, including budget management and reconciliation, financial tracking, contract and revenue agreement processes, and engaging in communication with funders and donors; as well as administrative tasks, including tasks related to onboarding and offboarding personnel, ensuring compliance with internal University requirements, and procuring office supplies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
2 - 3 years of experience in finance, administration, or accounting, preferably in a non-profit setting
Strong ability to work within a framework of changing priorities, an attitude that is positive and team-oriented, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse external partners
Self-motivated and self-sufficient, with the ability to develop innovative solutions, and to work well in a small-team setting
A good grasp of accounting procedures and transactions, and strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
Strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite.
Preferred qualification
Life experience and/or a demonstrated commitment to issues that affect marginalized girls
