We are currently looking for an Engineering Program Manager in Santa Rosa, California.

Our client is a leader in the Plastic Injection Molding industry specializing in Medical Device and other custom manufactured parts.

Salary: $125k - $165k

This position will 50% Tooling Engineering and 50% Program Managing.

Responsibilities:

• Establish project outline and design (mold design through production process)
• New Program design phase through production readiness
• Project updates, complete management of all assigned projects; start to finish
• Quoting creation and development on new projects
• Track quote due dates, percentage of wins and opportunities forecasts
• Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes
• NPD/NPI; early involvement with customers and internal teams during the DFM process.
• Participate in design and process review to ensure correct specifications for each project.
• Develop manufacturing procedures; tooling, fixtures, and process to meet customer expectations.
• New & existing business quoting, development/opportunities and interact with customers.
• Develop tooling standards; interact with off-shore tooling companies for quotes and tooling builds.
• Administer the program management process by providing necessary program status reports to customers.
• Coordinate with tooling, production, purchasing and quality on schedules to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with QE’s for support and early involvement on all related programs.
• Implements new job setup, project outline, contract review process and approvals

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience within manufacturing industry
• Travel /- 10%
• Limited physical effort, able to carry at least 25lbs
• Duties are primarily performed seated. Must be able to sit and type for long periods; bending, reaching, pushing, pulling related to general administrative duties and use of office equipment.
• Strong Customer relationship management skills.
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite; MS Project/smartsheet experience preferred.
• Follow engineering department; infrastructure, procedures and policies including the use and utilization of proper company forms.
• Well organized and goal orientated
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Demonstrated experience at implementing continuous improvement, lean or other process improvement techniques.
• Knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, and quality systems
• Accomplishes strategic objectives by managing and maintaining multiple project activities
• Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities
• 10 years’ experience in Plastics Injection Molding manufacturing environment
• Intimate knowledge of program management; PMP preferred or equivalent experience
• CAD experience/knowledge a plus. Including but not limited to Mold Designs
