Gensler is Hiring a Strategy Lead Near Boston, MA
Strategy Lead(s) (full-time, multiple openings) needed in Boston, MA to work with a wide range of clients across industries including technology, professional services, mixed-use developments, healthcare, and others to evaluate their current conditions, define their goals, and develop integrated strategies for how their environment, technology, policies, and services can support their objectives. Build relationships with our colleagues across the globe to advance client interests, Gensler interests, and practice area objectives. Administer relationships with clients and other third-party service providers including real estate brokers, consultants, and project managers. Contribute to new business development initiatives including presentations, time estimates, schedules, and scope of work descriptions. Provide day-to-day direction, ongoing feedback to team members, and maintain the strategic direction and expectations set by Project/Strategy Director. Responsible for client-facing information gathering, architectural space programming, change management strategy development, end-user research, production of client deliverables, and coordination of information with design colleagues through the schematic design phase. Develop tools to gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to determine impact related to space planning, business goals, organizational culture, occupancy, and workplace performance to inform concepts. Organize and administer surveys, focus groups, stakeholder interviews, and vision sessions to inform design concepts. Maintain responsibility for the quality of deliverables, strategies, and other work products. Articulate and represent scenarios (with plans, data, feedback, relevant precedents) to illustrate a range of relevant solutions (e.g., design concepts, work styles, program, service models, building code considerations, or behavioral interventions) based on the research that meet the client’s objectives and express the tradeoffs associated with each option. Deliver presentations to utilize a range of media including posters, videos, websites, as needed, to graphically visualize information and ideas and effectively use charts, sketches, 3D models, or hand drawings to represent and communicate findings. Interface with Gensler design studios to ensure the seamless transition of design strategy into the design implementation phase, assisting the Project Manager/Architect to establish design standards and space planning, and programming based on clients’ functional and spatial requirements while meeting conceptual design goals. Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field, plus three (3) years of design experience with all of the following: (1) Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), and other visual communication tools; (2) 2D and 3D Software: AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp; (3) Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Lighting, Façade, Acoustics, AV, and other consultants’ coordination requirements; (4) Building codes, standards, building construction and structures, and life safety requirements; (5) Research methodologies and activities, including both qualitative and quantitative data; (6) Designing and supporting engaging workshops with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders; (7) User research, design strategy, change management, and space programming; (8) Client relationship and account management, including scope development, contract review, and new business development; AND (9) Day-to-day operations and project management including staffing, fee tracking and forecasting, and documentation of client meetings. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience. Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s degree design experience must include experience with all of the following: (1) Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), and Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), and other visual communication tools; (2) 2D and 3D Software: AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp; (3) Structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), Lighting, Façade, Acoustics, AV, and other consultants’ coordination requirements; (4) Building codes, standards, building construction and structures, and life safety requirements; (5) Research methodologies and activities, including both qualitative and quantitative data; (6) Designing and supporting engaging workshops with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders; (7) User research, design strategy, change management, and space programming; (8) Client relationship and account management, including scope development, contract review, and new business development; AND (9) Day-to-day operations and project management including staffing, fee tracking and forecasting, and documentation of client meetings. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Incidental telecommuting may apply. The base salary range is $90,043.00 to $121,600.00, commensurate with relevant experience.
