Genesis Medicus is the manager for accredited medical schools coordinating clinical rotations in the Los Angeles market at Good Samaritan Hospital, which is a full-service, acute care hospital located in Los Angeles, CA.

They serve a diverse population in Downtown LA and nearby areas, with over 500 physicians from almost every specialty. Genesis Medicus is committed to providing quality and innovative medical student rotations based upon a "preceptor model" where the student follows the physician educator in their day-to-day practice, offering a range of medical educational experience.

Responsibilities

Genesis Medicus is looking for a full-time in office M F, Asst., Undergraduate Medical Education Program Coordinator at PIH Good Samaritan Hospital.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing individual student files & educational experience documentation, onboarding paperwork, confirming & scheduling rotations with faculty, hosting teams / training sessions for the student doctors.

This is not a

remote ( work from home ) or hybrid position

Must have reliable transportation to be able to occasionally move from office-to-office or visit various clinical sites, as required.

This position comes with onsite paid hospital parking.

Qualifications

• college degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, or equivalent direct GME / UME experience within a hospital and / or residency setting 3 years or relevant transferrable skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Teams and having a level of comfort with multiple computer screens and toggling between various applications.
• Strong Data entry skills to update various proprietary data bases to track student activities
• Experience in medical education and program coordination preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
