ABOUT PARAMOUNTHOTEL NEW YORK

Paramount Hotel is a New York City landmark locatedjust steps from Times Square. Constructed in the French Renaissance style byThomas W. Lamb in 1927, the building reflects the theatrical character of itsneighborhood. The bustle of the street disappears as you step inside - with itstwo-story lobby, reflective fireplace, dramatic lighting, and rich textures, itsets the stage for a hip, indulgent experience. Recently updated but retainingits historical charm, the Paramount Hotel is standing out – as the only hotelnear Broadway NYC with genuine personality.

Kind of a “no brainer” to take this iconic hotelwith us on our Generator journey. Whilemaking sure to keep its rich character - we are giving it the best parts of ourGenerator DNA in order to transform this into a social driven, loud andwelcoming community hot spot (with some kick-ass parties & events, ofcourse).

What’s the job?

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Maintain the overall appearance of the building;replacing broken lamps, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out generalrepairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paintwork etc.throughout the building
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout all areasof the premise, including both front and back of house and rooms, interior andexterior
• To ensure that all tasks relating to guest comfort, guest satisfactionor the impression the guest receives of the hotel must be treated with utmostpriority
• Maintain all safety and asset register records at all times
• Take responsibility for all equipment onsite ensuring that it ismaintained and ready for use at all times
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure thatyou comply with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular,H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety
• Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generatorbrand and culture
• To maintain a good working relationship with yourcolleagues creating a team that works well together and with other departments

WHAT’SIN YOUR DNA

• Hands-onattitude, with attention to detail
• Ability topush, pull, grasp, lift or carry supplies, equipment or tools weighting up to100 lbs. occasionally
• Basicmechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment
• Skill in theuse of related tools (including hand and electric tools)

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience in a similar role withinhotel/hospitality industry
• Working knowledge of facilities machines andequipment
