Identify and implement tax policy and risk mitigation opportunities across the GE Vernova businesses.
Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local tax legislation, regulations, and judicial developments to assess their potential impact on the organization.
Provide guidance and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders on the tax implications of proposed legislative and regulatory changes.
Develop and implement tax policy strategies to optimize the company's tax positions, taking into account business objectives and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with external advisors, industry groups, and government officials to advocate for the organization's interests and influence tax policy developments.
Prepare and present technical tax policy analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
Proactively identify emerging tax policy issues and develop proactive strategies to address them.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging tax policy developments.
Collaborate across GE Vernova Tax Operations Team to provide training and share best practices.
Drive and be involved in global projects, interact with cross-functional teams within the organization.
Supervise and train newcomers and analysts.
Additional tax related tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in tax, including direct congressional experience (preferably working for a member of either the House Ways & Means Committee or the Senate Finance Committee, or on the staff of either committee).
Additional experience with a multinational corporation or public accounting firm is also important.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

The salary range for this position is 172 900 - 288 100 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
