Description
A successful Accounting Representative, will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by completing daily tasks that ensure excellent member service and an accurate general ledger.
Requirements
The Position:
- Responsible for assigned general ledgers, financial reports, and other accounting related tasks
- Providing supporting documentation, meeting deadlines, requesting technology needs, continued training and education, and updating procedures
- Accounts payable/receivable, document retention, dormant account reporting, and more
- Research and process share and loan corrections
- Communicating items that are not reconciled on the general ledgers, as well as training needs, goals, approaching deadlines, etc., with the Accounting Manager
- Assist as needed in the Solution Center to answer member questions and inquiries
- Responsible for cross-training in order to support co-workers and members as needed
The Candidate
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
- Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
- Detail-oriented
- Analytical thinker
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interaction with members and coworkersÂ
- 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting activities
