Gateway Community Services is Hiring a Marketing Development Coordinator Near Jacksonville, FL

Marketing and Development Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVES: The Marketing and Community Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with business and marketing stakeholders to develop and implement innovative community-focused programs for brand awareness and fundraising efforts which Include fundraising, donations, and special fundraising activities and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct research to identify and understand community trends, events, partnership opportunities, and developments focused on substance abuse and mental health
  • Build an over-arching marketing and development strategy comprised of brand awareness and community programs that connect with new and existing programs.
  • Liaise with business and marketing stakeholders to come up with branding ideas to build awareness and develop design concepts for promotional materials and ad copy.
  • Identify the most relevant marketing and promotional channels to include mixed media and organic platforms to relay Gateway’s messages to external stakeholders and audiences.
  • Manage and report on the performance of the organization’s marketing and development programs and strategies by evaluating key performance metrics
  • Create innovative marketing concepts that draw from market observations, data, and present recommendations to Gateway business stakeholders.
  • Manage all aspects of Organizations Social Media.
  • Design a development strategy for Gateway: Work with the management team to identify funds needed, preferred funding targets, and approaches.
  • Identify staffing needs for capital campaigns and ongoing development
  • Fundraising: Conduct research, prospecting, and application to multiple donor sources
  • Manage potential capital campaigns, engaging and overseeing capital campaign implementation as necessary
  • Manage fundraising event(s), handling all aspects of this event
  • Build a robust donor base: Develop and maintain key long-term relationships with donors and prospects
  • Plan and coordinate electronic fundraising and marketing strategies

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Must complete all required training.
  • Must abide by the Agency's Code of Ethics, Agency Standards, Policy and Procedures Manuals.
  • Must practice universal precautions as part of regular job duties whenever applicable
  • Strict adherence to the Incident Reporting, timekeeping, and work attendance requirements.
  • Must be able to pass the Department of Children and Families and/or the Department of Juvenile Justice background screenings.
  • Timely and regularly complete all required documentation, reports, and other Agency related paperwork.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Must not engage in behaviors that erode the cohesiveness of the program staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor's degree; with 5 years of experience

SKILLS

· Ability to communicate in English and to read and understand written English at the collegiate level. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Advanced computer skills (word, excel, access).

· Self-starter with demonstrated follow-up and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities while meeting/exceeding goals.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines.

· High energy, enthusiasm, and ability to engage donors in the mission of the agency.

· Strong customer service and organizational skills.

· Ability to relate to prospective donors and internal Gateway Team Members.

· Must be able to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision
