Job Summary:

GalaxyCon is a festival of fandom that celebrates comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more. GalaxyCon is more than a comic-con, it’s a galaxy of fun!

We are looking for a photo sourcer while sourcing high-quality images that capture the essence of our fandom festivals. This role requires a keen eye for photography, a deep understanding of pop culture and the ability to curate images that resonate with our community of fans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create event folders, partner show graphics and maintain Dropbox to keep current
• Source images for autograph signings from various sources i.e. online databases, agents, etc.
• Edit and restore images using Photoshop
• Communicate with the print team to ensure prints are reviewed and high quality and send to talent team for agent approval.
• Work closely with the marketing and social media teams to understand image requirements and deliver content that aligns with campaign objectives.
• Create thumbnails for images for Shopify products and upload all agent-provided images/headshots to appropriate folders and maintain consistency with headshots
• Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or the equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field preferred.
• Familiar with Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Cloud, Dropbox and Google Docs
• Knowledge of graphic design principles, such as typography, layout, color and branding
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities
• A passion for comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more
• A willingness and ability to travel to GalaxyCon events, which may require working on weekends and holidays

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
