Frontier Energy is Hiring a Snowflake Data Architect Near Austin, TX
The Snowflake Data Architect will support Frontier's development of a new platform for data storage, access, management, and analysis across the organization.This platform, which utilizes the Snowflake data warehouse, will increase Frontier's capacity for complex projects and improve overall alignment with business objectives. As a member of the Technology Solutions team, you will work with different business units across the organization using the latest cloud technologies to build a data ecosystem that will improve project outcomes and increase data-driven decision-making to advance Frontier Energy's mission. Expert knowledge of Snowflake and scalable database solutions is mandatory for this role. Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture and Data Strategy
Design and implement robust and scalable cloud-based data solutions capable of meeting current project needs and act as the foundation of an enterprise-wide unified data system in the future.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with enterprise goals.
Documentation, Standards and Best Practices
Develop and implement standards and best practices related to data architecture. Manage these architectural standards across the organization.
Ensure data management processes meet compliance, quality, and efficiency standards.
Create and deliver artifacts, technical documents, and architectural designs that align with business needs.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation
Research and recommend new technologies to enhance our data capabilities.
Lead proof-of-concept projects to assess new data technologies and tools.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data architecture and cloud technologies.
Communication & Collaboration
Ability to effectively work as part of a distributed, multifunction development team.
Act as the Data Architecture SME, providing guidance to other development team members.
Readily give and accept constructive feedback from the development team and Frontier user base.
Clear and concise written and oral communication skills are required.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in data architecture, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
Expert knowledge in Snowflake
Strong expertise in Azure cloud services and solutions (e.g., Blob, App Services, Data Factories).
Proficient in data modeling and designing scalable, high-performance data architectures.
Proficient in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes and data integration tools.
Familiarity with data governance and compliance requirements.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Team player, comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels.
Self-motivated and able to organize work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
