Fromm Electric Supply is Hiring an Outside Account Manager Near Reading, PA

Job Summary:
The Outside Account Manager is responsible for selling assigned electrical products and services to an established customer base while also developing new accounts. This role requires building strong customer relationships, analyzing account potential, identifying industry opportunities, and demonstrating product and service offerings.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all matters related to assigned accounts
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to retain existing business and acquire new customers
  • Develop new business with existing customers by analyzing account potential
  • Identify industry opportunities for customers with similar needs to develop new accounts
  • Utilize available resources to display or demonstrate product and service offerings
  • Prepare sales contracts for customers
  • Evaluate performance and establish goals to increase success with target customers and vendors
  • Manage budgets and maintain accurate expense accounts
  • Stay up-to-date on existing and emerging products and technologies to provide value to customers
  • Contribute to sales planning and review activities, including evaluating business needs and establishing timelines
  • Attend sales meetings, trainings, trade shows, and industry-related events as needed
  • Coordinate with staff members in other departments working on the same account
  • Assist in development and training when possible
  • Report competitive conditions and customer feedback to management
  • Inform customers of relevant company policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Ability to adapt to change productively and handle assigned tasks
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the appliance and/or electrical industry
  • Extensive product knowledge of appliances, electrical products, and the industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Persuasive negotiation and selling skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare and conduct presentations
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and clean DMV record
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc.
Physical Requirements:
  • Position is primarily sedentary (75%)
  • Ability to safely work around construction and other work sites
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport work-related materials up to 25 lbs. and occasionally more
  • Required travel to customer locations within a specific geographic area
