Description

The Technical Implementation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the project management and collection requirements for the technical file team. The Technical Implementation Analyst works collaboratively with clients, vendors, and numerous teams within Fringe Benefit Group. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Complete internal and external documentation for automated processes
  • Understanding of programming necessary for importing and exporting files into and out of the database.
  • Process file requests using macro-based tools within the timeline set by the implementation team.
  • Primary contact for questions from internal staff on file processing.
  • Manage renewal updates to file processing.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to manage projects, including sales, product, account management, implementation, and member services.
  • Unit testing to ensure that the programming request was made accurately.

  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with internal and external business partners by communicating well.
  • Collaborating with other departments to appropriately understand the needs and desires of the client to set up the group in the best way possible within our system.
  • Provide quality assurance for the Technical team’s work so that other departments can depend on our accuracy.
  • Provide direction to internal departments regarding system and process changes.
  • Complete programming on the date requested and provide status updates in advance of the deadline.

BRING GUSTO

  • Communicate openly to provide ongoing status updates for each implementation and programming request.
  • Proactively work to develop ongoing system enhancements that will benefit our clients and internal staff.
  • Create custom programming and error reporting to improve data accuracy and efficiency
  • Design flexible programming that can accommodate custom client setups
  • Review the full scope and technical impact of any issue brought to your attention.

BE EXPERTS

  • Know our system, products, and processes in order to apply appropriate system setup to meet our client’s needs, provide direction and execute solutions for unique and special requests.
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge by clearly articulating a variety of system settings and programming capabilities to meet specific needs.
  • Support the feedback provided for our client’s test files.
  • Learn our system and programming methods and bring fresh perspectives to improve processes.
  • Independently research to acquire the knowledge to implement new programming techniques.

OWN IT

  • Develop your own growth in learning our proprietary system in order to apply and communicate the best solutions.
  • Document proven solutions in FBG’s SOP and templates.
  • Review necessary programming updates for annual renewals.
  • Responds to escalated issues and system corrections with clear and timely communications.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to accomplish and manage multiple priorities independently and simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a team player with a committed, positive approach to working through adversity
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, with extreme attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify deficiencies or other concerns
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in the verbal and written word, necessary to communicate with clients, carriers, and internal staff
  • Ability to translate requirements from the Business to IT / Programmers.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience writing business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging

Additional details

  • Business Travel: Travel is less than 10% and limited to visiting other FBG offices
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds and to sit at a computer for extended periods
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Hybrid - remote and in office. At times work is required to be completed in the Austin office.
