SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced General Manager for a busy full-service property. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hotel's daily operation to ensure proper training of staff, delivery of high-quality service and expedient resolution of issues. In addition to being a proven leader, the general manager must be a strong communicator, resourceful and highly adaptive in all types of situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Work closely with a corporate management team that provides support with both administrative and operational needs. Protecting the owners’ interests in the asset is of the highest priority.
• Oversee rooms division, including the supervision of housekeeping and the front desk. This includes but is not limited to: scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing, hiring/firing, procedural training, customer service training, and quality control.
• Supervise transportation department.
• Take ownership of maintenance projects and tasks; drive response time and efficiency of maintenance staff.
• Assist with training and monitoring service quality of the food and beverage staff.
• Be an active leader in promoting a culture of ownership and accountability, as well as in driving strong employee morale.
• Assist with general operational oversight of entire facility, including service delivery, staff management, maintenance and upkeep.
• Assume responsibility for certain departments, including expense management, staff management and execution of duties.
• Serve as "customer service" champion for the property.
• Oversee initial and ongoing training of staff, ensuring maintenance of both brand and company standards.
• Performs any and all other duties or supportive functions that may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years as General Manager or 6 years as Assistant General Manager.
• Expertise with OPERA, Delphi and M3.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting.
• Strong computer skills: PowerPoint, Excel; quick adaption to web applications.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience: Three full years of employment in a related position
Certifications: None required.

Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
