Friendship Village Tempe is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician!

Pay: $20.35-$22.39 per hour depending on years of experience

Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm, occasionally carrying on-call pager required

SUMMARY: As a skilled position in the maintenance department, this position is responsible for major repair and maintenance duties on Village buildings, and equipment under the limited supervision of more experienced personnel.

Education & Experience

• High school graduate or G.E.D. diploma.
• HVAC Certification preferred; EPA Certification preferred.
• Must possess a valid current Arizona driver’s license; must possess the ability to safely operate a golf cart.
• Two (2) years plant/residential/apartment maintenance.
• Enrollment in a vocational trade school of a trade listed in the essential functions section can be substituted for six months of actual on the job.
• Requires the use of good judgment to follow procedures. Routine duties involve many various procedures, including work order data entry on computer.
• Flow of work and type of duties require the normal mental and visual demand most of the time.
• Reasonable care is required to prevent injures or accidents to others. Any and all potential hazards must be able to be recognized and repaired or reported to the manager.
• Work may be assigned in areas of high voltage, hazardous equipment, and moving parts. Serious injuries are improbable if proper safety procedures are followed. Minor cuts, abrasions, burns and bruises may occur.
