Job Title: Maintenance

Reports to: Director of Facility Operations

Status: Full time

Pay Rate: 16.00/hour

Job Description:

• As a general maintenance operator, you will work to perform routine maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of the Fresno Mission, its’ equipment and/or fixtures under the supervision of the Director of Facility Operations. The position is expected to follow established maintenance schedules and guidelines, inspecting, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment and/or fixtures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Fresno Mission facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Utilize the work order management system (Buildium) to receive work orders to support our team and documenting repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training requirements to safely operate equipment and tools
• Provide mentorship to Fresno Mission program participants assigned to the maintenance department for vocational training, inclusive of periodic pickups and drop offs

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Valid CA Driver's license
• Building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
• Physically capable and available to periodically work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
• A mature walk with Jesus Christ and able to articulate Biblical beliefs and their application within the context of the Fresno Mission. Possess and maintain a Christian testimony of faith and experience in Jesus
• Must be in agreement with the Statement of Faith of the Fresno Mission
