At Freedom Solar, we have built a customer-focused, turnkey solar installation experience that is
unusual in the industry. Unlike most solar companies, we serve our customers through the entirety of
their solar journey, from marketing and sales, to installation, to service and warranty coverage. As we

Freedom Solar is looking for reliable, entry-level Electrician Apprentices to join our team. You will,
through our operational team's oversight under our registered apprenticeship program , gain the skills
and experience needed to become a journeyman electrician and solar installation expert. You will work
closely with licensed electricians to perform routine electrical work and install electrical systems, as well
as with our field operational managers to install solar arrays safely and efficiently. As an Electrician
Apprentice, you should be a quick learner, be able to work in a team environment, and have top-notch
customer service skills.
Essential Functions and Duties (under the oversight of senior electricians and other field operational managers):
    • Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, equipment, systems, services, and switchgear.
    • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and systems based on job
    • specifications and building and safety codes.
    • Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials or services.
    • Install racking systems and solar modules.
    • Inspect and evaluate electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely.
    • Complete commissioning and inspection checklists and commission solar systems safely.
    • Follow and enforce safety procedures and protocols.
    • Maintain tools and inventory.
    • Prepare and clean work site.
    • Perform other duties assigned by senior electricians and field managers.
    • Attend and participate in off-site class and/or instruction as required by Freedom Solar's apprenticeship program (approximately 275 hours per year).
    • Follow the requirements and standards of Freedom Solar's apprenticeship program.
Required Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age or older.
    • Graduation from high school (or GED equivalent), college, and/or trade school.
    • Strong ability to think critically and use best judgement.
    • Ability to safely operate all tools associated with the electrical trade.
    • Solid verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Good driving record and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior electrical, solar, and/or construction experience.
    • Mechanical experience and/or aptitude.
    • Valid OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred).
Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders.
    • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs routinely.
    • Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
    • Ability to work in 30-100 degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions.
