Freedom Consulting LLC is Hiring a System Administrator Near Annapolis, MD
Freedom Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Computer Network Operations and Information Technology with a strong background in router, firewall, and other network communications equipment, configuration, maintenance, and management.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and manage router, firewall, and other network communications equipment
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot node configuration and management
- Utilize real-time processing and control, digital signal processing, user interfaces, network protocols and systems, data flow networks, speech and audio including Voice over IP (VoIP) and streaming technologies
- Maintain network and system security and implement security measures to protect the system from cyber-attacks
- Scripting tools for routine system administration tasks and automation for LINUX-based platforms
- Scripting and automation for Windows-based platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
- Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Windows and Linux (CentOS/RHEL or similar *NIX) administration
- Experience with STE requirements/tools/teams
- Experience with customer Information System Security processes and tools (SSPs/ATO/IAVAs etc.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience scripting against REST APIs, databases, and CSV files
- Experience with network design, security, and automation
- Experience with DevOps tech stacks and modern CM and CI/CD tools (especially Ansible)
- Experience with a scripting language (Python/bash)
- Experience with VMWare hypervisors and virtualization, and FreeIPA and Kerberos authentication
- Experience with customer Information System Security processes and tools (SSPs/ATO/IAVAs etc.)
