2HB Incorporated is seeking a System Administrator in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The System Administrator will bring a great depth and breadth of System Administrative experience to a streaming analytics program, analyze current workflows of the Operations team, and assist in the transition from a primarily Development shop to an Operations shop. The candidate will work with the Operations Lead to implement best practices in all areas of a healthy Operations environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- LDAP implementation/Account Creation
- Managing server CLI access and sudo access
- H/W Monitoring / Health and Status
- Experience with HPE product
- Performing / coordinating YUM updates
- RAID reconfiguration
- Maintaining RHEL Satellite
- Establishing H/W Performance Metrics
- VMWare /ESXi
- Kickstart
- RHEL8
- Liaison with HW/network teams
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
- Customer environment server certs
- Sustaining STE/STN tools
- CentOS for C2S
- Outage SOPs
- Server patching in a production system
- Network interfaces and services
- Kubernetes networking (ie. CNI)
- Good comms skills with developers
