Accenture Federal Services is Hiring a System Administrator Near Annapolis, MD

Job Description: 

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a System Administrator to provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. The System Administrator will also configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. As a System Administrator, you will contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
  • Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning

Here's what you need:

  • Five (5) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required OR Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington State as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.  
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:
California: $63,700 - $110,000
Colorado: $63,700 - $95,000
New York: $59,000 - $110,000
Washington: $67,900 - $101,000
