Position Summary

 The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management is responsible for coordinating and executing the University’s enrollment management strategies. This position directly supervises the Directors of Student Financial Services and Admissions and under the Senior Vice President to leverage opportunities to achieve successful enrollment outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads, develops, implements, assesses, and modifies strategic plans to ensure success for FHU’s enrollment strategies. This may include market research, branding, advertising, recruitment events, and financial aid offers.
  • Establish, assess and report annual benchmarks for enrollment efforts. Monitors and reports to the Senior Vice President weekly progress toward achieving established benchmarks. 
  • Establish, assess and report an annual action plan for Enrollment Management. Monitors and reports to the Senior Vice President at least once a semester progress toward achieving outcomes established within the action plan.
  • Serves on the leadership team for the division of Community Engagement and collaborates with senior leadership, faculty, and staff for timely enrollment forecasting for budget purposes as well as to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts.
  • Provide university-wide updates to inform the campus community as to the status and progress of enrollment outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on all federal regulations pertaining to admissions and financial aid and ensure university wide communication and compliance. 
  • Serve on committee to review all need based aid and academic review appeals and make offers of financial aid and admittance decisions where applicable.
  • Serve on other committees as needed and/or assigned.
  • Reviews exceptional admissions and financial aid cases.
  • Manage expense budget, complete allocations, and submit statements monthly.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement by assessing and enhancing enrollment management activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Director of Student Financial Services and the Director of Admissions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
