No Insert Position Summary The shipping department is responsible for receiving materials and shipping finished goods. The overall objective of this position is to make boxes for daily orders to be shipped out, make stock to help limit the box making process, and fill orders with correct materials. Essential Accountabilities
Increase revenue from cycle time improvements by efficiently making boxes and processing stock to complete orders.
Create an efficient and effective work environment through maintaining a clean and organized workspace, as well as starting paperwork as early as possible to prepare for the following day.
Decrease operational costs by maintaining proper box inventory monthly through:
Counting total boxes
Counting boxes on skid to match the count of ticket
Other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications Education/Certifications
High School Diploma/GED required
Forklift license preferred
Experience
1-2 years of experience

Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance. Tools include: tape gun, hand jack, markers, wood skids, boxes, forklift, box maker
Verbal & Written Communication Skills – This position requires basic skills (Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.)

Physical Demands/Working Conditions Physical Requirement: Must have ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Working Conditions: Duties performed in a manufacturing plant environment: can be high heat, high humidity, and airborne particles. Hours: Shifts vary and last 8 hours.
