Fortis Industries, Inc. DBA - LTS, Inc. is Hiring a Proposal Coordinator Near Huntsville, AL

Fortis Industries, LLC is interviewing for a Proposal Coordinator to work in our Huntsville, AL office. Our Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating production, maintaining records, and assisting with writing tasks and the development of compliant and persuasive proposals used to capture new business opportunities, focused primarily on federal facility service contracts. The Proposal Department works in a team environment, with all roles being integral to its success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research and understand federal Government Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Track, download, and disperse updated files for ongoing proposal efforts
  • Assist in creating document templates that comply with RFP instructions and pre-existing guidelines
  • Maintain and improve the Past Performance database/library of prior corporate contract experience and assist with the associated portions of proposals
  • Assist with packaging and distribution of electronic and/or hard copy proposals
  • Aid in the review of proposal documents, ensuring proposal responses are compliant with specific RFP requirements
  • Coordinate site visits and debrief meetings
  • Solicit and compile team questions, monitor question and answer responses, and distribute to proposal team
  • Support the coordination of proposal activity with partnering firms and/or subcontractors
  • Assist with the development of cover pages and formal correspondence letters
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of prior experience preparing written proposals and documents of a technical or professional nature
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required
  • Prior knowledge of U.S. Government contracting processes and procedures is a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint and general Business Development tasks is a plus
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach to task management
  • Ability to manage numerous deadlines and task prioritization with conflicting priorities
  • Exceptional internal and external customer service orientation with the ability to interface with proposal stakeholders to meet proposal deadlines
Rate of Pay: Dependent on Experience
