Ignite Fueling Innovation is Hiring a PROPOSAL COORDINATOR Near Huntsville, AL

Job Description:

Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to join our corporate team supporting Business Development in Huntsville, AL. The Proposal Coordinator will work directly with the Proposal Manager in all aspects of proposal planning and logistics. The Proposal Coordinator will work closely with marketing and business development personnel and oversee timely, high quality and competitive proposal development, including ensuring they keep with company standards. The Proposal Coordinator must be detail oriented and possess high level critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists Proposal Manager in providing day-to-day supervision of the proposal process as they plan and build high quality, winning responses to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Works collaboratively with a wide range of personnel, including book bosses, technical and business subject matter experts, authors, capture managers, and contracts managers
  • Reads and interprets RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc. requirements to create templates and outlines, and ensures compliance with font, type size, margins, and other submission requirements
  • Maintains configuration control of documents and deliverables in SharePoint
  • Tracks RFPs and amendment releases and routes all solicitation documents to appropriate filing locations and proposal team members
  • Reviews the proposal schedule with the Proposal Manager and ensures deadlines for formatting, editing, and graphics are realistic/achievable
  • Maintains past performance citations, resumes, proposal reuse materials, and other databases for the Business Development team
  • Leads production effort such as desktop publishing/formatting, light editing, printing, copying, tab covers, producing binders, and electronic media
  • Engages in final formatting, assembly, packaging, and delivery
  • Proofreads written products for spelling, usage, typographical, and grammatical errors
  • Assists in tailoring resumes specifically to RFP/RFQ requirements
  • Performs additional duties as required
Job Requirements:


Job Requirements and Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of work experience in proposal coordination or project coordination.

  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and highly proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator and MS Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Federal Government RFI, RFP, and Market Research processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of Government contract vehicles i.e., GSA Schedules, IDIQs and Task Orders
  • Advanced editing and template competencies

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must have an active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields

Other Requirements:

Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance.
