The Role:

As the Director of Data Sales at Forge Global, reporting to the Head of Data Sales, your primary objective is to generate revenue and facilitate exponential growth in product adoption for Forge Data. We seek a proactive and seasoned data/content sales professional who can effectively scale our customer base. Your role involves championing tactical programs with targeted revenue objectives and collaborating closely with peers across various departments. By continuously validating features through customer research, you will play a vital role in driving Forge's data business to new heights. Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end sales processes from lead generation effective trial management through to successful conversion
  • Strategize and execute quarterly sales plans to surpass annual targets within assigned territory and accounts.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities while cultivating new business prospects.
  • Foster enduring customer relationships, addressing issues with a customer-centric approach.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer analysis to understand spending profiles, business strategies, and needs.
  • Tailor solutions to customer requirements, leveraging the Forge Global ecosystem, while defending and growing market position through revenue protection strategies and competitor analysis.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of direct Data Sales experience in financial markets, demonstrating expertise in selling products/services.
  • Track record of building and enhancing relationships, including the ability to alter client perceptions effectively.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities with proven negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience thriving in team-oriented, matrix environments, delivering robust results as both an individual contributor and team member.
  • Passionate about innovation, user satisfaction, and inspiring colleagues, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and alignment with Forge's values.

Nice to have:

  • Preferred experience in the finance industry, particularly in data or private market investment sectors.
  • Previous involvement with growth-stage startups is desirable.
  • Personal affinity with Forge's mission as an enabler and innovator in the private market, contributing to positive global change.
