We are seeking a versatile IT professional to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, Office 365 environment, and Email security. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set spanning Active Directory administration, Office 365 management, and antispam solution expertise to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our technology ecosystems.
The position will also assist in the lead support function of day-to-day operation of all server hardware and software and include the company’s production system environment and testing platforms. Responsibilities include setting up, upgrading, and troubleshooting of Windows servers, responding to user questions and needs, and performing daily maintenance tasks. In addition, the position will participate in corporate IT planning and implementation activities.
Responsibilities
Active Directory Administrator:
- Design, deploy, and manage the organization's Active Directory environment, including domains, forests, trusts, replication, and Group Policy.
- Create and manage user and group accounts, manage AD automation, enforce security policies, and maintain permissions and access controls.
- Monitor the health and performance of domain controllers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal authentication and access services.
- Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Services including Azure AD Connect, Azure Cross-Tenant Access, Azure AD External Identities., Microsoft Graph API / Azure AD Graph.
- Collaborate with the IT helpdesk team and provide support for end users.
Office 365 Administrator:
- Configure, manage, and support the organization's Office 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams.
- Administer user accounts, licenses, and permissions, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Implement security measures such as multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and encryption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements in productivity and user experience.
- Query Exchange environment using the Office 365 Command online tool.
- Microsoft Exchange Hybrid Design & Implementation
- Primary support for Microsoft 365 issues.
Email Security Administrator:
- Design, deploy, and manage antispam solutions to safeguard the organization's email communication from malicious content and threats.
- Monitor and analyze incoming email traffic, develop incident response plans, and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate email-based security incidents.
- Configure email filtering rules, whitelists, and blacklists to balance email security and user productivity.
- Provide security awareness training to employees and maintain awareness of emerging email security threats.
- Setup and manage DMARC / SPF / DKIM / BIMI.
- Email Encryption: SSL/TLS, PGP, S/MIME.
- Email Header Analysis: RFC 822, Authentication Check, Return Path, Authenticated Received Chain (ARC), etc.
- Various Proofpoint Security Solutions: Security Gateway / TAP / TRAP / DLP / Data Discover / Fraud Defense, etc.
IT Security and Compliance:
- Enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices across Active Directory, Office 365, and antispam solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance and adherence to security requirements.
- Security Certificate Design & Implementation (Public Key Infrastructure Hierarchy (PKI), AD Certificate Services (AD CS), Certification Authority (CA), Web Enrollment, Enrollment Policy Web Service, etc)
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for all administered systems.
- Generate regular reports on Active Directory health, Office 365 usage, and email security incidents.
- Provide insights to management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
System Administrator:
- Accountable for the performance and uptime of Systems Administration functions.
- Provide in-depth technical support for operating systems.
- Configure and/or plan server upgrades, new and existing system installations; maintain and repair the midrange servers.
- Assist in creating and publishing procedures to maintain data, software file systems, servers, and storage devices.
- Conduct system performance evaluations; assess and implement operating system patches and firmware updates.
- Resolve complex technical issues and provide 3rd level support to end users.
- Participate in capacity management, develop and implement scalability projects.
- Develop and document performance standards, measures and instructions to ensure availability of networks, servers and data tools critical to business operations.
- Work through complex technical issues resolved in a timely manner with lessons learned documented and implemented to avoid future issues.
- Upgrades, new projects, changes etc., managed accurately and on-time\ Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment and precedent.
- Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues.
- Develops new concepts, methods and techniques for cross-functional initiatives.
- Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping abreast of assigned tickets and following the proper escalation processes via ticketing system.
Technical responsibilities include:
- Windows Servers
- Server Patching
- Securing Systems
- Antivirus Management
- Messaging (Exchange All Version, O365, Activesync, Email archiving)
- Active Directory Infrastructure
- Backup/Restore Techniques
- Scripting – Vbscript, REST, JSON, XML, Powershell
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related experience.
- Microsoft or other industry certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of IT experience with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a systems administrator in Exchange, Email Security, O365, and Active Directory Services.
- Strong knowledge in scripting with Vbscript, REST, JSON, XML, Powershell.
- Experience in below specific areas are essential to the position:
- Working with Active Directory, Domain Services, Group Policy, etc.
- Working with Email Security solutions (Proofpoint, O365)
- Working with Microsoft Exchange (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, O365)
- Experience with TCP/IP networking, firewalls, HTTP, DNS, FTP/SFTP, and system utilities.
- Experience with systems monitoring tools.
- Skills and abilities include:
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in server administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with email security protocols, email filtering, and authentication methods.
- certifications such as CISSP, MCSA: Office 365, or equivalent are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange Online, O365 Services and Antispam technologies.
- Experience working with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2003, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, Server 2016, Server 2019) including clustering.
- Superior troubleshooting abilities, sense of urgency, positive customer service and strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Interest and proactive efforts in advancing one’s technical skill sets.
- Experience in Data Center management including racking, stacking, cable management, networking. Understanding of environmental and utility management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware/Hyper V in a clustered HA environment
The salary range for this position is $65,549 - $79,530 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
