Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Bakery Assistant . As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bakery operations and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and packing farmers markets
- Follow recipes and instructions to accurately measure and mix frosting and royal icing
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and stove top
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
- Assist with packaging and labeling bakery products for display or delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and orders
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation setting is preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating quantities
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and consistent product quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining efficiency and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of frosting techniques and baking principles is a plus
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior bakery staff
