(Part-Time) Development Coordinator

POSITION TYPE | Part-Time (24-28 hours per week) REPORTS TO | Director of Development 

BASIC FUNCTION 

The Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the fundraising efforts of the organization by assisting the Director of Development with planning fundraising events, managing our donor CRM, and general administrative work. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Event/Initiative Planning

• Oversee the creation of a plan for our fundraising events (timeline, logistics, supplies needed, assignments, etc)
  • Golf Tournament 
  • Micro Dinners (Small dinners in homes for groups of potential donors)
  • End-of-Year Giving (Year-in-Review Magazine and Gifts)
  • Silent Auction 
  • North Texas Giving Day
• Manage needed purchasing and vendor agreements for fundraising events and initiatives
• Act as one of the points of contact for fundraiser events for volunteers and committees 

Donor Relationship Support 

• Manage donor information in our CRM (Planning Center: Giving) 
  • Receipting 
  • Profile updates
• Write thank-you letters to donors on behalf of the organization 
• Manage purchasing as needed for donor appreciation 

Administrative Support 

• Assist in creating materials for mailings or meetings to provide donors/prospects with information about the organization and how they can support our mission. 
• Provide support as needed in written/verbal communication with donor base (emails, phone calls, meetings)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor’s or experience equivalency
• Must have successful relevant experience in event planning
