JOB TITLE: Spa Receptionist DEPARTMENT: Spa REPORTS TO: Director of Spa CLASSIFICATION: Full-time $18.00 an hour SUMMARY: The Spa Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests visiting the spa, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. They play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests by managing appointments, assisting with inquiries, and maintaining the spa's front desk operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Guest Services:· Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.· Provide information about spa services, packages, and promotions.· Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address guest inquiries promptly and courteously.· Schedule spa appointments, including massages, facials, and other treatments, using spa booking software or systems. 2. Administrative Support:· Maintain accurate guest records, including contact information, appointment details, and preferences.· Process payments, handle cash transactions, and reconcile daily receipts.· Coordinate with spa therapists and technicians to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and service delivery.· Prepare and distribute daily schedules and reports to spa staff members. 3. Facility Management:· Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the spa reception area.· Ensure that spa amenities, such as towels, robes, and refreshments, are well-stocked and available for guests.· Assist with inventory management tasks, including ordering supplies and restocking retail products as needed.· Notify management of any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions for prompt resolution. 4. Sales and Upselling:· Promote spa services, products, and memberships to guests to maximize sales and revenue.· Upsell enhancements or add-on treatments to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.· Keep up-to-date with knowledge of spa services, packages, and products to effectively recommend options to guests. 5. Professionalism and Teamwork:· Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.· Collaborate with other spa staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive work environment.· Attend staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed about spa policies, procedures, and promotions.· Uphold the spa's reputation for excellence by delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality. 6. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations. 7. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. 8. Perform other related services and duties as assigned by supervisor and management. REQUIREMENTS:· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality, customer service, or administration is a plus.· Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a spa or hospitality setting.· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and welcoming attitude.· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.· Proficiency in computer systems and booking software; experience with POS systems is desirable.· Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as required by spa operations.· Physical stamina to stand, walk, sit, and perform a variety of tasks for extended periods. WORK ENVIRONMENT:· Exposure to varying spa conditions and room temperatures is inherent in the role. As a Spa Receptionist, you are the face of the spa and play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
