Fluor is Hiring a Senior Manager, Quality Near Greenville, SC
This position requires specialized skills and knowledge to handle the challenges and complexities of the project quality activities. With authoritative decision-making this role’s recommendations have a significant impact on regional and offices quality policies and programs. This role may supervise the work of assigned quality personnel. • Implement and supervise technical quality (i.e., adherence to client, regulatory agency, and company requirements), perform administrative functions (i.e., budgeting, forecasting, staffing, etc.), and help to maintain harmonious client relations• Communicate effectively with all labor grades, and contribute ideas that stimulate positive direction of business line personnel• Serve as project Quality Manager on medium to large projects, if necessary• Serve as the office Quality Manager, if necessary• Facilitate the implementation of the Operating System Requirements (OSR) in offices for which responsibility is allocated• Maintain relationships with key internal and external Clients and external Quality community• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• Ten (10) years of work experience with at least six (6) of those years having supervision or management experience• Certification by a recognized authority (i.e. ASNT, AWS, API, NACE) is preferred; note that, as a minimum, personnel who will be performing welding examinations, inspections and/or reviewing of radiographs must be capable of taking and passing Fluor’s internal certifications for visual examiners/inspectors and radiographic interpreters• Ability to work well with others• Experience with Semi-Conductor equipment is essential.• Site Experience with Client interface• Semi-conductor experience such as utilities equipment, gas compressors, PSSS equipment, Boilers, Hygienic Piping System, Utility Skids, Piping Skids, Modular/Skidded Systems, etc.• Knowledge of Industry Codes such as ASME, ANSI, ASTM, AWS, OSHA, CFR, PIP, etc.• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/project objectives and guidelines.• Act as a Lead Auditor to plan, perform, report quality audits of a variety of construction activities• Perform physical inspection of a variety of discipline activities which may include but not limited to: welding, piping, civil, concrete, buildings, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing
