In this position will be the Manufacturing Site Subject Matter Expert for Problem Solving and 8D Methodology, providing support, coaching, and ownership of Root Cause Analysis as well as acting as the Manufacturing Contact for all Greenville Field Issues. Additionally, they will be responsible for standardizing Quality Operations across the Site, ensuring adherence to those procedures, representing the Manufacturing Function for Customer Witnesses, and be the primary contact to the Projects Team, Customers, and 3rd Party representatives for those witnesses.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Administer and be the Site Manufacturing Contact for all Defects that Escape to our Customer and work to resolution of the issue to include root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions, working with the Manufacturing Cells on their Corrective Action and the implementation of these improvements in a timely manner and to effectively prevent recurrence
• Mentor/Coach/Lead Root Cause Analysis on External or Internal Defects as needed to get to actionable root causes and prevent recurrence, filling the role as Greenville Manufacturing RCA Subject Matter Expert
• Run a weekly meeting with Plant Leadership focused on Escapes, the status of RCAs, and Owner Actions and their progression to completion.
• Provide training to Site Product Quality Engineers and facilitate ‘Best Practices’ and PQE Standard work throughout the Site, looking across all Cells to include OEM and Repair
• Provide schedule information to Projects Team, Customer, or 3rd Party Representative for Contractual Witness Points and ensure all required documentation is complete and available
• Execute liaison activities between Greenville campus and customers to include hosting visits, conducting Plant presentations and tours
• Creation GT unit quality systems plans, inspections and test documents by reviewing and evaluating special GT unit requirements. Document and ensure flow down requirements are executed into Manufacturing. 
• Organize, prepare, and conduct unit requisition Pre-Inspection Meetings. Support Order Definition Meetings and requirements and be the Manufacturing liaison to Commercial Operations Team for future Pre-Ito activities and help facilitate contractual deliverables.
• Participate in Internal and ISO audits, conduct facilitate, document, and report out findings.
• Facilitate and mentor in plant level quality systems and management reviews.
• Global functional expert/mentor and owner of internal and external business systems and applications such as Documentum, Power Now, Tableau, SPEC and NCR.
• Functional gatekeeper of systems and applications, facilitate all projects, changes, and access requirements.
• Functional export for NAFTA, EXIM, COO. Work with Finance and government agencies to ensure compliance to programs that impact import and export duty fees.
• Mentor and train Manufacturing teams on projects that impact productivity and tracking thru manufacturing systems.
• Manage and mentor manufacturing, sourcing, and finance personnel on aged NCRs to drive resolution and reduce inventory costs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of professional work experience in manufacturing or supply chain)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or comparable Technical role

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
• This position is 100% onsite in Greenville, SC at the GE Gas Turbine plant

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this position is $ 103,100 - 137,400.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​ This posting is expected to close on May 18, 2024, or thereafter.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
